Richard Williams was born and raised in Reidsville and has deep family and community roots throughout Rockingham County.
After graduating from Reidsville High School, Richard earned his undergraduate degree from Campbell University and later graduated cum laude from Elon University School of Law, finishing among the top ten students in his class.
During law school, he gained experience with the Rockingham County District Attorney’s Office, the Guilford County Public Defender’s Office, and through a residency with Chief Justice Mark Martin of the North Carolina Supreme Court.
